Here are the details and contest rules: 

- The contest is open from October 1 to December 1, 2017. Mittens must be started and completed in this time. 

- Mittens must be made from yarn purchased at Have a Yarn.

- Contest participants will be entered in a draw for a prize. Details of the prize will be released on October 1. Participants will receive one entry per pair of mittens they knit. 

- Two entries will be given for mittens knit from the following patterns:
Ruth Anne's Mittens by Angela Churchill (available for purchase in-store or through Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruth-annes-mittens)
Aran Mittens to Felt by Shirl the Purl (available for purchase in-store or through Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/aran-felted-mittens-132)
Traditional Newfoundland Honeycomb Mittens (available for free through our website: http://www.haveayarn.ca/stitch/07_2013_stitch_of_the_month.htm)
Thrummed Mittens (available for free through our website: 

- There is no minimum or maximum number of entries per person. Mittens can be made to fit any size.

This is an online contest only. To be eligible for the draw, mittens must be added as a project on Ravelry with a photo and shared with the group Have a Yarn.

Please pay with registration. 50% of course fee will be charged for cancelations with less than 24 hours notice.
Ravelry Tutorial
Saturday, Septmeber 30, 2017: 1pm to 4pm
Ravelry is a great resource for knitters and crocheters. It has 1000s of patterns, a community of people that love working with fibre and is a great place to store your finished projects like a portfolio. This class is a great opportunity for those needing help with Ravelry for the Mitt-a-long. Ravelry whiz, Danielle Baines, will show you how to search for patterns, add projects, and use Ravelry as a limitless resource. 
Materials: a laptop or tablet (if possible), digital  photos of a knitting project (optional)


Knitting Groups - Tuesday and Sunday

Join us Tuesday and Sunday afternoons at 1:00pm for knitting and tea. Knit and chat with fellow knitting enthusiasts. Bring your knitting!
