Fashion Show & Tell
Saturday, July 29, 2017: 7pm (Doors open at 6:30pm)
We're having our 3rd annual Fashion Show & Tell to celebrate all the wonderful knitting our customers have done over the past year. Items can be modelled by yourself or the garment recipient. Items must be knit from yarn purchased at Have a Yarn (hand-spun welcome) and the pattern must be available in print from Have a Yarn or available for purchase through Ravelry or other online source. Some exceptions may apply.

Beginner Needle Felting
Wednesday, August 16, 2017: 1:00pm to 4:00pm
A beginner class on needle felting. Instructions on materials that can be used, types of needles and work surfaces. You will receive instruction and create a sea scape brooch. This will be a relaxing class with lots of room for your own creativity if you wish!
Materials: At least one 36 or 38 gauge felting needle and a felting mat. All other materials provided. 
Making Holes on Purpose: Intro to Lace Knitting
Saturday, August 19, 2017: 1:00pm to 4:00pm
This class is lace knitting simplified! Learn basic theory and practice of knitting lace. Topics to be covered include: yarn overs and decreases, yarn and needle choice, using charts, blocking, stretchy cast ons and bind offs, and more!
Materials: 100g fingering weight yarn; 3.75mm, 4mm, and/or 4.5mm needles (more details on this with registration)
Introduction to Sock Knitting
Sat, August 26, 2017: 10:30am to 4:30pm
Have a Yarn is a haven for sock knitters looking for a colourful stock of sock yarn. This day-long class will guide you through the steps of knitting a basic cuff-down sock including long-tail cast on, heel flap and heel turn, picking up gusset stitches, and the star toe.
All materials provided.

Join us Tuesday and Sunday afternoons at 1:00pm for knitting and tea. Knit and chat with fellow knitting enthusiasts. Bring your knitting!
