Knitting from Charts - $35
Saturday, February 25, 2017: 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Charts are a great visual way to see and read knitting patterns. In this class we'll practice knitting from 3 different types of charts while learning tips for easier chart reading. And, we'll decipher what all those symbols mean!
Materials: at least 50g of yarn and appropriately sized double points and circulars (or straights)

Magic Loop - $35
Saturday, March 11, 2017: 1:00 to 4:00pm
Magic loop is a technique used for knitting small circumferences with a long circular needle. It’s often used as a replacement for double pointed needles when knitting socks, mittens, sleeves, etc. This is an introductory class to show you how to insert this technique into any pattern that calls for double pointed needles.
Materials: 4 - 5mm 40” circular needle (if you have one)
Felted iPad Case - $30
Saturday, March 18, 2017: 1 to 3pm &
Saturday, March 25, 2017: 1 to 4pm
Knit a felted case for an iPad in two sessions. Topics to be covered include: knitting in the round, how to choose colours, felting in the washing machine, three-needle bind off, and more.
Materials: 2 balls Galway or Ella Rae Classic Wool, 8mm 24” circular
Cast On/ Cast Off - $35
Sunday, March 19, 2017: 1 to 4pm
Learn and practise a variety of cast ons and cast offs such as channel island cast on, cable cast on; sewn cast off, picot cast off, and more. Learn characteristics of each so you’ll know which is the best one for the job. Have a favourite cast on or cast off? Bring a sample of it with you to share!
Materials: smooth yarn (DK or worsted) and needles for match
Beginner Needle Felting - $35
Sunday, March 26, 2017: 1 to 4pm
This will be a relaxing introduction to needle felting with lots of room for your own creativity if you wish! You will create a seascape brooch while learning about the best materials to use for needle felting, types of needles and work surfaces.
Materials: At least one 36 gauge felting needle and a felting mat. All other materials provided.
